Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Room Service Lead is to provide the highest quality of customer service to patients at all times.  This position performs a variety of duties related to the orderly operation of the room service program and the efficient delivery of patient meals and adheres to HACCP and other regulatory agency policies.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

·         Monitors all Room Service Representatives, Expediters, Floor Stocker, and Dish Room Attendants activities as outlined in the respective job descriptions of these positions

·         Maintains records for financial and quality control monitors.

o   Takes temperatures of all cold food items per policy.

o   Holds pre-service meetings with the room service team as needed.

·         Ensures that tray tickets begin printing on time and that trays are made in a timely and efficient manner.  Ensures the timely delivery of patient meals.

·         Has knowledge of all diets and assists with training of all room service program staff.

·         Communicates effectively with Call Center staff and other department supervisors to ensure quality patient meals and help resolve problems.

·         Assists Room Service Supervisor with projects as needed.

 

Requirements

·         Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
